EAP Malaysia is the pioneer of the arrangement of Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) therapy in Malaysia and was established by Wisconsin early autism project malaysia sdn. bhd Autism Project (WEAP) in September 2006. For all therapists, a first training consisting of 20 hours of classes and 3 weeks on hand-held training is required before starting work with a kid with autism after which routine fortnightly otherwise regular guidance is given with regular overlaps and team meetings.
Furthermore, WEAP's published study in the American Journal of Mental Deficiency (November 2005 issue) was consistent with Dr. Ivar Lovaas' research study in 1987 and 1993 where 48% of the kids that took part in the extensive behavioral therapy had the ability to catch up and participate successfully in typical college.
Each child at EAP is appointed a team of therapists who are overseen by a Supervisor on a biweekly basis and a Senior Manager on a bimonthly basis in addition to the WEAP Progression Reviews twice a year. EAP remains to keep world-class high quality ABA therapy as we remain to have our parent business WEAP manage our children two times a year.
Dr. Glen Sallows joined the introducing research with Dr. Ivar Lovaas and has brought this first-rate therapy to hundreds of individuals with autism in the UK, Australia, Canada and Malaysia over the last 2 decades. Play Abilities are important to a child's growth.
