EAP Malaysia is the pioneer of the provision of Applied Behavioural Evaluation (ABA) therapy in Malaysia and was founded by Wisconsin Early Autism Job (WEAP) in September 2006. For all therapists, a first training including 20 hours of courses and 3 weeks on hand-held training is required before starting work with a child with autism after which regular fortnightly otherwise weekly guidance is given via normal overlaps and team meetings.
In addition, WEAP's released research study in the American Journal of Dementia (November 2005 concern) was consistent with Dr. Ivar Lovaas' study in 1987 and 1993 where 48% of the youngsters who joined the extensive behavioural therapy were able to catch up and take part efficiently in normal college.
Each youngster at EAP is designated a group of therapists who are monitored by a Supervisor on a fortnightly basis and an Elderly Manager on a bimonthly basis along with the WEAP Progression Reviews twice a year. EAP continues to preserve first-rate top quality ABA treatment as we continue to have our parent business WEAP manage our kids twice a year.
