EAP Malaysia is the leader of the stipulation of Applied Behavioural Evaluation (ABA) treatment in Malaysia and was founded by Wisconsin Early Autism Project Malaysia Autism Task (WEAP) in September 2006. For all therapists, an initial training consisting of 20 hours of classes and 3 weeks on hand-held training is needed before beginning work with a youngster with autism after which regular fortnightly otherwise regular guidance is provided with regular overlaps and group conferences.
Additionally, WEAP's published research study in the American Journal of Dementia (November 2005 concern) followed Dr. Ivar Lovaas' research study in 1987 and 1993 where 48% of the children who took part in the intensive behavioural therapy had the ability to capture up and get involved efficiently in typical college.
Each child at EAP is appointed a group of therapists that are monitored by a Manager on a biweekly basis and an Elderly Supervisor on a bimonthly basis along with the WEAP Development Reviews twice a year.
