EAP Malaysia is the leader of the stipulation of Applied Behavioural Evaluation (ABA) therapy in Malaysia and was started by Wisconsin early autism project malaysia Autism Project (WEAP) in September 2006. For all specialists, a first training including 20 hours of classes and 3 weeks on hand-held training is called for before starting work with a child with autism after which regular fortnightly if not weekly supervision is provided via routine overlaps and team conferences.
Furthermore, WEAP's published research in the American Journal of Dementia (November 2005 concern) was consistent with Dr. Ivar Lovaas' research study in 1987 and 1993 where 48% of the youngsters who took part in the extensive behavioral treatment had the ability to catch up and participate successfully in regular college.
Each child at EAP is assigned a team of specialists who are supervised by a Manager on a biweekly basis and a Senior Supervisor on a bimonthly basis along with the WEAP Progress Reviews two times a year.
